1And the sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel(for he [was] the first-born; but because of his going up to his father's couch, [his father] gave his blessing to his son Joseph, [even] the son of Israel; and he was not reckoned as first-born;
1Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2for Judas [was] very mighty even among his brethren, and one was to be a ruler out of him: but the blessing [was] Joseph's).
2For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)
3The sonsof Ruben the first-born of Israel; Enoch, and Phallus, Asrom, and Charmi.

4The sons of Joel; Semei, and Banaia his son: and the sons of Gug the son of Semei.

7And his brethren in his family, in their distribution according to their generations; the chief, Joel, and Zacharia.
7And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
8And Balec the son of Azuz, the son of Sama, the son of Joel: he dwelt in Aroer, and even to Naban, and Beelmasson.
8And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal–meon:
9And he dwelt eastward to the borders of the wilderness, from the river Euphrates: for they had much cattle in the land of Galaad.
9And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
10And in the days of Saul they made war upon the sojourners [in the land]; and they fell into their hands, all of them dwelling in their tents eastward of Galaad.
10And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
11The sons of Gad dwelt over against themin the land of Basan even to Sela.
11And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:
12Joel the first-born, and Sapham the second, and Janin the scribe in Basan.
12Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13And their brethren according to the houses of their fathers; Michael, Mosollam, and Sebee, and Joree, and Joachan, and Zue, and Obed, seven.
13And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
14These [are] the sons of Abichaia the son of Uri, the son of Idai, the son of Galaad, the son of Michael, the son of Jesai, the son of Jeddai, the son of Buz,
14These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
15[who was] the brother of the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, [he was] chief of the house of their families.

16They dwelt in Galaad, in Basan, and in their villages, and [in] all the country round about Saron to the border.
16And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
17The enumeration of [them] all took place in the days of Joatham king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
17All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18The sons of Ruben and Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasse, of mighty men, bearing shields and sword, and bending the bow, and skilled in war, [were] forty and four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going forth to battle.
18The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19And they made war with the Agarenes, and Itureans, and Naphiseans, and Nadabeans,
19And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20and they prevailed against them: and the Agaræans were given into their hands, [they] and all their tents: for they cried to God in the battle, and he hearkened to them, because they trusted on him.
20And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
21And they took captive their store; five thousand camels , and two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, two thousand asses, and a hundred thousand men.
21And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
22For many fell slain, because the war [was] of God. And they dwelt in their place until the captivity.

23And the half -tribe of Manasse dwelt from Basan to Baal, Ermon, and Sanir, and [to] the mount Aërmon: and they increased in Libanus.
23And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baal–hermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
24And these were the heads of the houses of their families; Opher, and Sei, and Eliel, and Jeremia, and Oduia, and Jediel, mighty men of valour, men of renown, heads of the houses of their families.
24And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
25But they rebelled against the God of their fathers, and went a -whoring after the gods of the nations of the land, whom God cast out from before them.
25And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
26And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Phaloch king of Assyria, and the spirit of Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria, and carried away Ruben and Gaddi, and the half -tribe of Manasse, and brought them to Chaach, and Chabor, and to the river Gozan, until this day.
26And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath–pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.

2And these [are] the names of the sons of Gedson; Lobeni, and Semei.

3The sons of Caath; Ambram, and Issaar, Chebron, and Oziel.
3And the children of Amram; Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. The sons also of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
4The sons of Merari; Mooli and Musi: and these [are] the families of Levi, according to their families.
4Eleazar begat Phinehas, Phinehas begat Abishua,
5To Gedson—to Lobeni his son—[were born] Jeth his son, Zammath his son,

6Joab his son, Addi his son, Zara his son, Jethri his son.

18And these [were the men] that stood, and their sons, of the sons of Caath: Æman the psalm singer, son of Joel, the son of Samuel,

19The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.

32And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.
33And their brethren according to the houses of their fathers, [were] the Levites who were appointed to all the work of ministration of the tabernacle of the house of God.
33And these are they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel,
34And Aaron and his sons [were] to burn incense on the altar of whole-burnt-offerings, and on the altar of incense, for all the ministry [in] the holy of holies, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all things that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded.

35And these [are] the sons of Aaron; Eleazar his son , Phinees his son , Abisu his son ,

42And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge, [even] Chebron, and Lobna and her suburbs round about, and Selna and her suburbs, and Esthamo and her suburbs,

43and Jethar and her suburbs, and Dabir and her suburbs,
43The son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.

48And to the sons of Merari according to their families [there were given], by lot, twelve cities of the tribe of Ruben, of the tribe of Gad, [and] of the tribe of Zabulon.
48Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.
49So the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities and their suburbs.
49But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
50And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Juda, and out of the tribe of the children of Symeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities which they call by name.

51And [to the members] of the families of the sons of Caath there were also given the cities of their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.

55and of the half-tribe of Manasse Anar and her suburbs, and Jemblaan and her suburbs, to the sons of Caath that were left, according to [each several] family.
55And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it.
56To the sons of Gedson from the families of the half-tribe of Manasse [they gave] Golan of Basan and her suburbs, and Aseroth and her suburbs.
56But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
57And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedes and her suburbs, and Deberi and her suburbs, and Dabor and her suburbs,
57And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs,
58and Ramoth, and Ænan and her suburbs.
58And Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,
59And of the tribe of Aser; Maasal and her suburbs, and Abdon and her suburbs,

61And unto the sons of Kohath, which were left of the family of that tribe, were cities given out of the half tribe, namely, out of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot, ten cities.
62To the sons of Merari that were left, [they gave] out of the tribe of Zabulon Remmon and her suburbs, and Thabor and her suburbs:
62And to the sons of Gershom throughout their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
63out of [the country] beyond Jordan; Jericho westward of Jordan: out of the tribe of Ruben; Bosor in the wilderness and her suburbs, and Jasa and her suburbs,
63Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
64and Kadmoth and her suburbs, and Maephla and her suburbs.
64And the children of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their suburbs.
65Out of the tribe of Gad; Rammoth Galaad and her suburbs, and Maanaim and her suburbs,
65And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.
66and Esebon and her suburbs, and Jazer and her suburbs.
66And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their coasts out of the tribe of Ephraim.
