1All the gold that was employed for the works according to all the fabrication of the holy things, was of the gold of the offerings, twenty-nine talents, and seven hundred and twenty shekels according to the holy shekel.
1Of the blue, purple, and scarlet, they made finely worked garments for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
2And the offering of silver from the men that were numbered of the congregation a hundred talents, and a thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels, one drachm apiece, even the half shekel, according to the holy shekel.
2He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen.
3Every one that passed the survey from twenty years old and upwards to the [number of] six hundred thousand, and three thousand five hundred and fifty.
3They beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in with the blue, the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen, the work of the skillful workman.
4And the hundred talents of silver went to the casting of the hundred chapiters of the tabernacle, and to the chapiters of the veil;
4They made shoulder straps for it, joined together. It was joined together at the two ends.
5a hundred chapiters to the hundred talents, a talent to a chapiter.
5The skillfully woven band that was on it, with which to fasten it on, was of the same piece, like its work: of gold, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
6And the thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels he formed into hooks for the pillars, and he gilt their chapiters and adorned them.
6They worked the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold, engraved with the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the children of Israel.
7And the brass of the offering [was] seventy talents, and a thousand five hundred shekels;
7He put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
8and they made of it the bases of the door of the tabernacle of witness,
8He made the breastplate, the work of a skillful workman, like the work of the ephod: of gold, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9and the bases of the court round about, and the bases of the gate of the court, and the pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court round about;
9It was square. They made the breastplate double. Its length was a span, and its width a span, being double.
10and the brazen appendage of the altar, and all the vessels of the altar, and all the instruments of the tabernacle of witness.
10They set in it four rows of stones. A row of ruby, topaz, and beryl was the first row;
11And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.
11and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald;
12And of the gold that remained of the offering they made vessels to minister with before the Lord.
12and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
13And the blue that was left, and the purple, and the scarlet they made [into] garments of ministry for Aaron, so that he should minister with them in the sanctuary;
13and the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in gold settings.
14and they brought the garments to Moses, and the tabernacle, and its furniture, its bases and its bars and the posts;
14The stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names; like the engravings of a signet, everyone according to his name, for the twelve tribes.
15and the ark of the covenant, and its bearers, and the altar and all its furniture.
15They made on the breastplate chains like cords, of braided work of pure gold.
16And they made the anointing oil, and the incense of composition, and the pure candlestick,
16They made two settings of gold, and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
17and its lamps, lamps for burning, and oil for the light,
17They put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.
18and the table of shewbread, and all its furniture, and the shewbread upon it,
18The other two ends of the two braided chains they put on the two settings, and put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod, in its front.
19and the garments of the sanctuary which belong to Aaron, and the garments of his sons, for the priestly ministry;
19They made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its edge, which was toward the side of the ephod inward.
20and the curtains of the court, and the posts, and the veil of the door of the tabernacle, and the gate of the court,
20They made two more rings of gold, and put them on the two shoulder straps of the ephod underneath, in its front, close by its coupling, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
21and all the vessels of the tabernacle and all its instruments: and the skins, even rams' skins dyed red, and the blue coverings, and the coverings of the other things, and the pins, and all the instruments for the works of the tabernacle of witness.
21They bound the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be on the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not come loose from the ephod, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
22Whatsoever things the Lord appointed Moses, so did the children of Israel make all the furniture.
22He made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.
23And Moses saw all the works; and they had done them all as the Lord commanded Moses, so had they made them; and Moses blessed them.
23The opening of the robe in the middle of it was like the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding around its opening, that it should not be torn.
1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2On the first day of the first month, at the new moon, thou shalt set up the tabernacle of witness,
2“On the first day of the first month you shall raise up the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
3and thou shalt place [in it] the ark of the testimony, and shalt cover the ark with the veil,
3You shall put the ark of the covenant in it, and you shall screen the ark with the veil.
4and thou shalt bring in the tableand shalt set forth that which is to be set forth on it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick and place its lamps on it.
4You shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are on it. You shall bring in the lamp stand, and light its lamps.
5And thou shalt place the golden altar, to burn incense before the ark; and thou shalt put a covering of a veil on the door of the tabernacle of witness.
5You shall set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the covenant, and put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
6And thou shalt put the altar of burnt-offerings by the doors of the tabernacle of witness,
6“You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
8and thou shalt set up the tabernacle round about, and thou shalt hallow all that belongs to it round about.
8You shall set up the court around it, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court.
9And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and shalt anoint the tabernacle, and all things in it; and shalt sanctify it , and all its furniture, and it shall be holy.
9“You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture, and it will be holy.
10And thou shalt anoint the altar of burnt-offerings, and all its furniture; and thou shalt hallow the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.
10You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar, and the altar will be most holy.
12And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons to the doors of the tabernacle of witness, and thou shalt wash them with water.
12“You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water.
13And thou shalt put on Aaron the holy garments, and thou shalt anoint him, and thou shalt sanctify him, and he shall minister to me as priest.
13You shall put on Aaron the holy garments; and you shall anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office.
14And thou shalt bring up his sons, and shalt put garments on them.
14You shall bring his sons, and put tunics on them.
15And thou shalt anoint themas thou didst anoint their father, and they shall minister to me as priests; and it shall be that they shall have an everlasting anointing of priesthood, throughout their generations.
15You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office. Their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”
16And Moses did all things whatsoever the Lord commanded him, so did he .
16Moses did so. According to all that Yahweh commanded him, so he did.
17And it came to pass in the first month, in the second year after their going forth out of Egypt, at the new moon, that the tabernacle was set up.
17In the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was raised up.
18And Moses set up the tabernacle, and put on the chapiters, and put the bars into their places, and set up the posts.
18Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.
19And he stretched out the curtains over the tabernacle, and put the veil of the tabernacle on it above as the Lord commanded Moses.
19He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
20And he took the testimonies, and put them into the ark; and he put the staves by the sides of the ark.
20He took and put the covenant into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.
21And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and put on [it] the covering of the veil, and covered the ark of the testimony, as the Lord commanded Moses.
21He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the covenant, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
22And he put the table in the tabernacle of witness, on the north side without the veil of the tabernacle.
22He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside of the veil.
23And he put on it the shewbread before the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.
23He set the bread in order on it before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
24And he put the candlestick into the tabernacle of witness, on the side of the tabernacle toward the south.
24He put the lamp stand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.
25And he put on it its lamps before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
25He lit the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
26And he put the golden altar in the tabernacle of witness before the veil;
26He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;
27and he burnt on it incense of composition, as the Lord commanded Moses.
27and he burned incense of sweet spices on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
29And he put the altar of the burnt-offerings by the doors of the tabernacle .
29He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
33And he set up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar; and Moses accomplished all the works.
33He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
34And the cloud covered the tabernacle of witness, and the tabernacle was filled with the glory of the Lord.
34Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.
35And Moses was not able to enter into the tabernacle of testimony, because the cloud overshadowed it, and the tabernacle was filled with the glory of the Lord.
35Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.
36And when the cloud went up from the tabernacle, the children of Israel prepared to depart with their baggage.
36When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;
37And if the cloud went not up, they did not prepare to depart, till the day when the cloud went up.
37but if the cloud wasn’t taken up, then they didn’t travel until the day that it was taken up.
38For a cloud was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night before all Israel, in all their journeyings.
38For the cloud of Yahweh was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
