1And this [is] the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

2And he said, The Lord is come from Sina, and has appeared from Seir to us, and has hasted out of the mount of Pharan, with the ten thousands of Cades; on his right hand [were] his angels with him.
2He said, “Yahweh came from Sinai, and rose from Seir to them. He shone from Mount Paran. He came from the ten thousands of holy ones. At his right hand was a fiery law for them.
3And he spared his people, and all his sanctified ones [are] under thy hands; and they are under thee; and he received of his words
3Yes, he loves the people. All his saints are in your hand. They sat down at your feet. Each receives your words.
4the law which Moses charged us , an inheritance to the assemblies of Jacob.
4Moses commanded us a law, an inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.
5And he shall be prince with the beloved one, when the princes of the people are gathered together with the tribes of Israel .
5He was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people were gathered, all the tribes of Israel together.
6Let Ruben live, and not die; and let him be many in number.
6“Let Reuben live, and not die; Nor let his men be few.”
7And this [is the blessing] of Juda; Hear, Lord, the voice of Juda, and do thou visit his people: his hands shall contend for him, and thou shalt be a help from his enemies.
7This is for Judah. He said, “Hear, Yahweh, the voice of Judah. Bring him in to his people. With his hands he contended for himself. You shall be a help against his adversaries.”
8And to Levi he said, Give to Levi his manifestations, and his truth to the holy man, whom they tempted in the temptation; they reviled him at the water of strife.
8About Levi he said, “Your Thummim and your Urim are with your godly one, whom you proved at Massah, with whom you contended at the waters of Meribah.
9Who says to his fatherand mother, I have not seen thee; and he knew not his brethren, and he refused to know his sons: he kept thine oracles, and observed thy covenant.
9He said of his father, and of his mother, ‘I have not seen him.’ He didn’t acknowledge his brothers, nor did he know his own children; for they have observed your word, and keep your covenant.
10They shall declare thine ordinances to Jacob , and thy law to Israel: they shall place incense in [the time of] thy wrath continually upon thine altar.
10They shall teach Jacob your ordinances, and Israel your law. They shall put incense before you, and whole burnt offering on your altar.
11Bless, Lord, his strength, and accept the works of his hands; break the loins of his enemies that have risen up against him, and let not them that hate himrise up.
11Yahweh, bless his skills. Accept the work of his hands. Strike through the hips of those who rise up against him, of those who hate him, that they not rise again.”
12And to Benjamin he said, The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in confidence, and God overshadows him always, and he rested between his shoulders.
12About Benjamin he said, “The beloved of Yahweh will dwell in safety by him. He covers him all day long. He dwells between his shoulders.”
13And to Joseph he said, His land [is] of the blessing of the Lord, of the seasons of sky and dew, and of the deeps of wells below,
13About Joseph he said, “His land is blessed by Yahweh, for the precious things of the heavens, for the dew, for the deep that couches beneath,
14and of the fruits of the changes of the sun in season, and of the produce of the months,
14for the precious things of the fruits of the sun, for the precious things that the moon can yield,
15from the top of the ancient mountains, and from the top of the everlasting hills,
15for the best things of the ancient mountains, for the precious things of the everlasting hills,
16and of the fulness of the land in season: and let the things pleasing to him that dwelt in the bushcome on the head of Joseph, and on the crown [of him who was] glorified above his brethren.
16for the precious things of the earth and its fullness, the good will of him who lived in the bush. Let this come on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his brothers.
17His beauty [is as] the firstling of his bull, his horns [are] the horns of a unicorn; with them he shall thrust the nations at once, even from the end of the earth: these [are] the ten thousands of Ephraim, and these [are] the thousands of Manasse.
17Majesty belongs to the firstborn of his herd. His horns are the horns of the wild ox. With them he will push all the peoples to the ends of the earth. They are the ten thousands of Ephraim. They are the thousands of Manasseh.”
18And to Zabulon he said, Rejoice, Zabulon, in thy going out, and Issacharin his tents.
18About Zebulun he said, “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and Issachar, in your tents.
19They shall utterly destroy the nations, and ye shall call [men] there, and there offer the sacrifice of righteousness; for the wealth of the sea shall suckle thee, and so shall the marts of them that dwell by the sea-coast.
19They will call the peoples to the mountain. There they will offer sacrifices of righteousness, for they will draw out the abundance of the seas, the hidden treasures of the sand.”
20And to Gad he said, Blessed [be] he that enlarges Gad: as a lion he rested, having broken the arm and the ruler.
20About Gad he said, “He who enlarges Gad is blessed. He dwells as a lioness, and tears the arm and the crown of the head.
21And he saw his first-fruits, that there the land of the princes gathered with the chiefs of the people was divided; the Lord wrought righteousness , and his judgment with Israel.
21He provided the first part for himself, for the lawgiver’s portion was reserved for him. He came with the heads of the people. He executed the righteousness of Yahweh, His ordinances with Israel.”
22And to Dan he said, Dan [is] a lion's whelp, and shall leap out of Basan.
22About Dan he said, “Dan is a lion’s cub that leaps out of Bashan.”
23And to Nephthali he said, Nephthali [has] the fulness of good things; and let him be filled with blessing from the Lord: he shall inherit the west and the south.
23About Naphtali he said, “Naphtali, satisfied with favor, full of Yahweh’s blessing, Possess the west and the south.”
24And to Aser he said, Aser [is] blessed with children; and he shall be acceptable to his brethren: he shall dip his foot in oil.
24About Asher he said, “Asher is blessed with children. Let him be acceptable to his brothers. Let him dip his foot in oil.
25His sandal shall be iron and brass; as thy days, so [shall be] thy strength .
25Your bars will be iron and bronze. As your days, so your strength will be.
26There is not [any such] as the God of the beloved; he who rides upon the heaven [is] thy helper, and the magnificent One of the firmament.
26“There is no one like God, Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens for your help, in his excellency on the skies.
27And the rule of God shall protect thee, and [that] under the strength of the everlasting arms; and he shall cast forth the enemy from before thy face, saying, Perish.
27The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms. He thrust out the enemy from before you, and said, ‘Destroy!’
28And Israel shall dwell in confidence alone on the land of Jacob , with corn and wine; and the sky [shall be] misty with dew upon thee.
28Israel dwells in safety, the fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine. Yes, his heavens drop down dew.
29Blessed [art] thou, O Israel; who [is] like to thee, O people saved by the Lord? thy helper shall hold his shield over thee, and [his] sword [is] thy boast; and thine enemies shall speak falsely to thee, and thou shalt tread upon their neck.
29You are happy, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by Yahweh, the shield of your help, the sword of your excellency? Your enemies will submit themselves to you. You will tread on their high places.”
1And Moses went up from Araboth Moab to the mount of Nabau, to the top of Phasga, which is before Jericho; and the Lord shewed him all the mount of Galaad to Dan, and all the land of Nephthali,
1Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is opposite Jericho. Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead to Dan,
2and all the land of Ephraim and Manasse, and all the land of Juda to the farthest sea;
2and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the Western Sea,
3and the wilderness, and the country round about Jericho, the city of palm -trees, to Segor.
3and the south, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar.
4And the Lord said to Moses, This [is] the land of which I sware to Abraam, and Isaac, and Jacob, saying, To your seed will I give it: and I have shewed it to thine eyes, but thou shalt not go in thither.
4Yahweh said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”
5So Moses the servant of the Lord died in the land of Moab by the word of the Lord.
5So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to Yahweh’s word.
6And they buried him in Gai near the house of Phogor; and no one has seen his sepulchre to this day.
6He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth Peor, but no man knows where his tomb is to this day.
7And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old at his death; his eyes were not dimmed, nor were his natural powers destroyed.
7Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died. His eye was not dim, nor his strength gone.
8And the children of Israel wept for Moses in Araboth of Moab at Jordan near Jericho thirty days; and the days of the sad mourning for Moses were completed.
8The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.
9And Joshua the son of Naue was filled with the spirit of knowledge, for Moses had laid his hands upon him; and the children of Israel hearkened to him; and they did as the Lord commanded Moses.
9Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
10And there rose up no more a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,
10Since then, there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face,
11in all the signs and wonders, which the Lord sent him to work in Egypt on Pharao, and his servants, and all his land;
11in all the signs and the wonders which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
12the great wonders, and the mighty handwhich Moses displayed before all Israel.
12and in all the mighty hand, and in all the awesome deeds, which Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
